Living With Lowe Syndrome Book

The 4th Edition of the Living with Lowe Syndrome Book is available!

Twenty three years after the Living with Lowe Syndrome (LWLS) booklet was first published, the Lowe Syndrome Association is proud to present a fully updated and revised fourth edition of the book. The fourth edition has grown from a 44 page booklet into a 121 page book.

The LWLS revisions were only possible because of input from 137 families affected by Lowe syndrome. In early 2008, the LSA Board of Directors made a decision to support an extensive research project known as The 2008 Comprehensive Survey on Lowe Syndrome. The LSA also relied on support from the LSA Medical and Scientific Advisory Board (MSAB) and additional clinical professionals who reviewed and updated sections from the previous edition.

What was updated?

All of the previous sections of the Living with Lowe Syndrome booklet were substantially updated and many new exciting sections were added regarding:

Seizures
Abnormal Labs
Bones and Joint
Dental Information
Discussion of Puberty
Parent Resource section
Behavior and Behavior Management
- Suggestions on positive reinforcement techniques
- Development Milestones section that outlines the ages at which individuals with Lowe syndrome first achieved language, cognitive and motor skill abilities

Copies will be available at $15 per book for active LSA members and $20 per book for non-LSA members. Shipping within the U.S. is included. Shipping to international locations will be an additional $10.00 per book to defray the additional shipping costs.

Allow approximately three weeks for delivery and note that the books are not shipped until payment has cleared or been received.
